During my visit back home in Phoenix I got to be a part of Stephen Lynch's Youtube + Instagram series: Monday Muse Phoenix. Where he gives different people a rad haircut. He brought back my old hidden cut and made my short shaggy hair into a 2-in-1 style. So it's more fun that way 😉 When I lived in Phoenix he was my go-to hair guy. Always down to do funky things with my hair. I was happy to be back and catch up with him. The atmosphere at Mercantile is always so welcoming, truly love it there. It was a blast to meet Zoa who is behind the photography and Video. She's a gem and so so talented, check out her Instagram down below. Stephen is located at Mercantile in downtown Phoenix. Follow @Mondaymusephx for hair inspiration. You'll enjoy each make-over. Trust me, they're so fun to watch! As of late I've been making use of the DSLR camera I have and becoming more and more comfortable behind the lens. I'm really enjoying and taking everything in during this learning phase. Visiting home (Phoenix, AZ) means re-connecting with my friends and I'm grateful to have friends who are down to pose for me and let me dress them and mess with their appearance for a bit, ha ha! Josh is like family. We've known each other since we were 15 years old. He was the life of the youth group we attended back in the day. He kinda still is just in a more adult way 😝 He's got his music thing going on and it's great! The best music and visuals he's released to date. Take some time to listen: Josh Caballes / Soundcloud
Josh's single release party is THIS FRIDAY 10.28.16 there will be a live performance, photography exhibit on M.I.A (his new single) and a behind the scenes video on the photoshoot we had a couple weeks ago. It will be (as Josh likes to say) 'All the viiiiiibes.' If you're in the Phoenix area, come check it out! Photographer / Wardrobe Styled by: Myself A couple months ago I had my first collab since I've been established in the east coast. I got to meet and follow cutting specialist and hair stylist, Cherise Alexander on the job one Saturday afternoon. I also had the privilege of having her cut my hair. She took it right to it's beginning phases of a collar bone shag. 🙌🏼 Literally, giving my hair movement and life cause it had been a while since my last haircut! She's amazing at her job. In the following images you can see the two lengths she created. A longer version of a shaggy haircut with micro bangs on Maggie and a hip wavy bob on Samantha. Immortal Beloved is located in a strip section of DC that houses lots of urban city life, so naturally we captured some shots outside as well as the claimed 'photoshoot section' of the salon. I have to add, the salon's interior and overall building is incredible. Having a big time green thumb, I was totally in my element. Everyone there was doing their thing with hair and I spotted so much talent. So if you happen to be from D.C. look into getting your hair done at Immortal Beloved. They have all levels of stylists, I totally recommend Cherise who is a Principal Stylist and Sara Clark who is a Junior stylist. They both post their work on Instagram (links attached to their names) and are super nice girls! Hope you guys enjoy the new style of edits I've been making. I have always had a thing for scrapbooking and funky graphic design so I've been combining all that and photography these days! You can see more on my Instagram 💕📲

It was there where I had my first experience going blonde (balayage) and ever since then I haven't gone anywhere else. Until now that I moved several states away, ha ha! Although this photo shoot took place last summer I wanted to share these awesome shots with you all since summer is quickly approaching us again. Everything about this shop is so pleasing to the eye. The detail is incredible and the environment is so friendly and welcoming, you feel right at home. Mercantile is located in Downtown Phoenix, practically neighboring + walking distance from Desoto Market. Shauna Thibault (owner of Mercantile) has a talented group of individuals. They really can do just about anything with hair. During one of my fringe trim appointments with Stephen Lynch, we talked about my interests and he reached out with an idea to collaborate and make a photoshoot happen. I didn't have to think twice about styling for them! We quickly exchanged information and within a week or two set a date for Mercantile's summer photo session. I instantly told Noemi about the idea and she was on board as well. Who better than my creative partner, right? This girl can do anything with her camera and I knew she'd grasp Mercantile's vision. It was so much fun to see the make over process on these 3 beautiful women. They were naturals in front of the camera! If you live in Phoenix, AZ make a stop at Mercantile! They not only focus on hair but have a beautiful selection of vintage clothing, art, and home goods. Psuede Police is releasing their EP "Dance To Kill" on August 7th! If you're familiar with any of Sean Silverman's music you know that anything he works on turns out incredibly awesome. I helped out in art direction + wardrobe for this video. I wanted it to be as abstract and dream like as possible. Something along the same concept and aesthetic that they were building around. We had a great creative team + with the help of Kristine Morgan and Azlynn Sloan we were able to make this happen on camera. Here is Psuede Police's music video 'Lover Coma' Enjoy!
